Post by: jop12 on March 22, 2004, 12:49:00 PM
Does anyone know how long this will keep on going on, because if it keeps on being delayed, I might be forced to cancell my order  sad.gif  ... Please feel free to express your thoughts here also!

ps I personally think thats it BS.

I take it that thats a bad thing.  I might cancel my order if its delayed again... Because, I dont even think that they have produced the chip yet, because there is no pictures, installation guides, or any new news on it... unsure.gif

I just have to say this because I've seen so much eb2k bashing. Ive ordered about 6 chips from them and not one was late or bad.  I know that is a drop in the bucket compared to the 1000's of chips they've sold but just thought I'd list myself as one customer who NEVER had a problem and emails were quick and helpful.  Like I said...just my 2 cents.   beerchug.gif

Delays, are shortening, hopefully this is a good thing.  blink.gif

EDIT: See, what upsets me is when they set the ETA to a date on Friday so that they wont have to update their website until after 3 days of the ETA expiring.

Cancelling your order should depend on how much you really now about modding. If you know everything there is to know about modding and you want to mod now, then you might want to cancel your order. But, on the otherhand, if you dont know how to mod, you might as well just keep your order and learn about modding (and all the other good stuff) while you wait for the x-chip.

ps. I have know Idea on when they're releasing there chip, but I have noticed that no pictures/new info/or installation guides are even up, so they might not be eager to realese it quiet yet...

Hope this helps. wink.gif

First thank for your replies.

Well, it's a difficult choice ... I'm waiting for this chip for three months ! So I think that I will wait one or two weeks and after that I will cancel my order. A friend ordered last year a chameleon and he has no problem with easybuy2000 so I hope that they have really a problem on the new chip.

For you information I have received (28mars) a mail from easybuy2000 customer europe service that said that the shipping of the X-CHIP will start in April (but when ??? smile.gif)
Is there somebody who has some has received some information about easybuyu recently ?

Thanks in advance.

Nope sorry, but they will send the x-chip when it is ready to be sent out.(I dont know if you knew this or not, but the reason it hasn't shipped is because they found a "bug". So, this means that they will send the x-chip when they are able to fix the bug. smile.gif ).

I believe that the chip is in its' final phaze of testing, so, I guess that means it will be released sometime soon to the manufactures, and then shipped.

The new ESTIMATED time of arrival is May 7. You should just cancel your order now and get a chip that is already out. Easybuy will never release this chip.

I purchased a chameleon from easybuy2000.com right before Team Xodus announced a breakup with their once affiliated, once official reseller, stating:

Easybuy2000 and Xodus Team

Due to recent events, as well as those that will transpire shortly, we have decided to make a public statement about our now NON EXISTANT relationship with EASYBUY2000. A few troubling facts have come to our attention which has forced us to clearly and irrevocably announce that:

WE ARE NO LONGER ASSOCIATED, NOR AFFILIATED IN ANY WAY WHAT SO EVER WITH EASYBUY2000.

Sincere apologies to all our valued customers and supporters for the confusion and utter inconvenience this “break-up” has caused. But as the wheel turns, there is always some light at the end of any dark tunnel, stay tuned for some very exciting news to follow shortly.

With respect,

Team Xodus

~End Quote

(Team Xodus knows something we don't)

It took me almost a month for me to receive my chip (no trouble with chip itself just the company)

If I had to wait as long as some of you have been, I would want a refund. I bought the chameleon because of the price @ the time, bug or not,
time is money.

As soon as full production begins we will start shipping the chips in about 1 to 2 weeks. As soon as we recieve the first batch of chips we will charge CC cards and start shipping.

Thanks for your understanding.

There have been delays with software. manufacture won't begin full production till they get the green light from the chip designers/testers.

We are sorry for the delays but we won't release the chip till it's ready.

Dude, how is he being helpful?

We knew about the problems, and he's been posting stuff like this before...so its in different language now? Doesn't really make a difference, does it? The message is the same.

Dude I will totally make a bet with you, if they ship may 7 ill buy ur chip...if they delay it again, you buy mine. I am totally serious on this. I used to be a Public Relations major before I switched to Poli Sci, I know what really means what.

Just to let everybody know we have NOT CHARGED ANY CC cards for the X-chip.

I just got word that it won't be long now. I should be getting a sample chip soon and the testers have said the final OS is almost ready.

For all the pre-orders the price will be honored at $39.00.

Hey "Easybuy2000", are the x-chips that were pre-ordered with the solderless adaptor only $39.99, or is it the x-chips without the solderless adaptor...?

Thanks.

I will be installing my friends x-chip when it arrives. There are no installation or programming instructions on the EasyBuy2000 website. Can you tell me when these will be posted? Or if they are available somewhere else online? (I'm hoping it can just be flashed like the chameleons I've done.)
