Title: Need Help Bios
Post by: xboxjester on January 18, 2007, 02:35:00 PM
Update I have flashed with cromwell, xbit original bios and evox all 256k bios all flash fine and verify and i can even read the bios back of the chip. on the xbit bios my xbox starts up the indicator light stays green but nothing comes on the screen. if i remove the chip the xbox boots up normally, i have checked the placement several times and i believe it to be as well placed as i can. Does any one have a bad xbit that i can buy there usb/dipswitch pad from ? Or does anyone no which of the yellow/ black wires i can solder together to get it boot any bios banks ???? Would really appreciate some help.

I would try flashing every bank with the evox bios, I cant remember what setting you will get from bridging that part of the switches.

What happened to it anyway why are there no dip switches?

Anyway try flashing the whole chip with the latest evox bios and see if you can boot that way.

You might want to try removing the solder bridge if that doesnt work and try again.
