Ok, I wasn't sure where to post, so I'll do it here. Recently I have my Xbox "fixed." I hooked it up to my network via ethernet cable and it worked perfectly fine. But, I want my Xbox downstairs so I can play on the big tv, and I wanted it hooked to my network. So I went out and bought this: http://www.linksys.com/products/product.as...cid=36&prid=558
I thought all was good until, but I couldn't get the damn thing to work. So after 4 hours of messing with it, I returned it and got this one instead: http://www.linksys.com/products/product.as...cid=36&prid=550
Now, I'm having problems with this one as well. I configured it, set my WEP, and set it to obtain IP automatically since I'm running DHCP, and nothing. As far as I know, these things are worthless pieces of junk. Can anyone help me out here? Give me any advice to get it working with my Xbox before I return the damn thing tomorrow?

Hmm... Perhaps a static IP is the best way? Just for a test, set your xbox to 10.0.0.2 gateway 10.0.0.1 subnet 255.255.255.0, and your computer to 10.0.0.1 subnet 255.255.255.0 . See if that works.
Also, make sure your gateway is set right on the xbox.

I use the linksys WET11 and have no problems. Instead of going through all your settings which would take forever, honestly linksys tech support is quite good, you should give them a call so they can verbally go over everything with you and you'll be all set.

Ok, I'll try to mess with it today, and I'll look in the WET11 as well. Thanks

In case it helps...
When I set up my WET11 I had to tell the xbox that the WET11 was the gateway instead of my router. That made all the difference.

i have a wet11, i just plugged it in 2 my labtop intalled the drivers and used it 4 1 hour. Then i swapped the ethernet cable from my labtop 2 my xbox reeboted the xbox and..........POOF wifi. Remember if u unplug it 4 more then a minute or so u must reinstall the driver

You can't install the driver on the xbox. THere are no drivers for it period. You need the cd to configure it, once the changes are done, they are saved unto the device itself, not the PC or the xbox.
Anywho, I FINALLY got it working. Thank god, I was so close to returning it
Now I have another question, rather posting another thread, I thought I'd use this one. How do I stream over my network from my PC to the xbox? I want to listen to music and such on my xbox but all my stuff is on my pc.
I read the manual for Xbox Media Player about SMB share and such, and so far I've been unable to get it working. I think I have the nameserver wrong. What is it, the gateway, which is my router, or the IP of my PC? Por favor ayudame! thanks
