I take it you have used different media brands, maybe your dvd-rom doesn't like the media you are using...If your xbox is playing the back up copies of xbox games from the same media as the installer then maybe the Installer ISOis corrupt or has files missing.

Ok.. ive tried the same media, and different media. 3 different types to be exact.... i used memorex cd-rw's.... verbatim dvd-r's.... which play in my xbox as games, and ive used fuji-film dvd-rw's..... none worked. Now im gonna try to load a different dashboard. We'll see how it works...
