Title: Xbox Turns Off Then On 3 Times

Installed a matrix chip on a 1.0 xbox a year ago and upgraded the hd to 120gigs. Everything was working fine. One day, the xbox turns on for a couple of seconds, and then turns off, does this 3 times and then quits and just stays on with nothing happening. What is going on? Is the xbox compeltely dead or is there any way to salvage it?

 is there any mod chip inside or tsoped? it could be a corrupted bios or something blew on the mobo.

Hey man the problem is that the matrix is missaligned and if that is not it then the bank somehow got eraced.  Just try top realign the chip.  If you are certaint that it is not eraced then I could only theing that the traces on the bord or the solder buttons are bad.  that is the lcp port where most of the pogo ping go.  Lastly the pogo pings could be dirty.
