Title: Switch Chameleon From Mode 3

I was wondering if there is any way to switch a chameleon from a 1MB Bios to 4 256K's without a programmer.  I have 4981.67 on it which is 4 256's, but when I toggled the dips and powered up I got Blinking led, reset twice, then spun disk, no video.  (Sorry if thats a really general error)..  Switched the mode back and its fine.  Is there a difference between a 1MB Bios and the 4 banks of 256 after it gets on the chip? Or should it have worked?  (Got same results twice) Thanks

I'm confused, cause I did get it to boot off the 1st bank in mode 2.  Thats good enough though I just needed more than 1 Bios..
