If 4977 does what you need, then no.

But there are new features in the newer BIOS, so search and check to see what they are, if you need them then upgrade. Such as bigger hard drive support (>137GB)

I got the latest version of the bios to try to get some of the upgrades. I was wondering though what the difference is between .06 and .67
