Title: Chameleon Tsop Repair On Winbond Chip
Post by: Sun_Lizard on January 13, 2004, 10:07:00 AM
Ok, here's a statement I've deduced from reading the forums... please someone correct me if I'm wrong:

It is impossible to 'repair' a 256k Winbond TSOP (ie recover from a bad flash) using the Chameleon, since the Chameleon repair method uses Evolution-x Dash to flash bank 0 and Evolution-X Dash cannot 'chip erase' (vice sector erase) Winbond chips.

True or False?

My next question is: if you load Matrix_TSOP_Fix bios into bank 1, 2, or 3. Bank select appropriate bios via DIP SW, then use the 007 AUF LOU-X with Raincoat (.501 or better) would the Chameleon allow the TSOP to be written to?  (assuming you had everything soldered correctly (#WE points on mobo and A15 connected)
