Ganna get a new xbox tomorow, will probably be a 1.5 version (Hollyday bundle)
I waswondering, if by badluck, I get a version 1.5 with a Thomson drive, if after installation, the Cham ask me for bios, is it possible to flash it with a DVD-RW ?
I know you should insert a CD-RW with the bios on it, but since Thomson hate praticly all brand of CD-R/RW, does DVD-RW or even DVD-R would work ?
Also, on the V1.5, I see a lot of ppl soldering only the ground wire (not 3.3V one) I was wondering, since I would like to have no solder on the motherboard, is it possible to solder the grouns wire to the Modchip directly (on the pin2) and solder the other end to the screw ? that would mean no solder on the xbox itselft.. Just wondering if it would work.

a metal ring that you put between the motherboard and the screw ? not a bad idea..
did you need the 3.3V wire ?

I see on this forum that you need a programer to flash the Chameleon on a v1.4 or v1.5
is it becose of the old cromwell bios (on older Chameleon) ? will it work with 1.8 Cham (red led) ?

For what I have read, you shouldn't see any thing on the 1.4/1.5 xbox (focus video) but **should** be able to flash it anyway.
I think, only preflashed Cromwell 1.8 (and not last 2.27) are unflashable on 1.4/1.5
correct me if i'm wrong.
Yes, I would really apreciate some pictures of your setup.. would help me for sure since I didn't see any Cham on 1.5 installed.
So, with the Ground wire conected, it **should** be a walk in the park if EB2k don't screw something.

those kind of post scare me..
Programer is kinda hard to find (out of stock or unavalaible) and the Solderless Cham + programer come in the same price as a X2l plus..
anyone can confirm if you can flash Cham 1.8 on a Xbox 1.5 without programmer ?

Yea Eb2k really suck.. they are near of me, so I tryed to call them directly by phone and no awsering.. e-mail is full (get an error, mailbox is full)
I'm not sure if it's allowed to talk about store here, if it isn't, please edit my post.
Any experience with www.gocybershop.ca ? I Think they get the stuff from Eb2k, but they are way faster in e-mail support. so for 5$ more, it should be a no brainer.. just wondering if anyone have experience with them..
So I will get an Hollyday bundle (will be v1.4 or v1.5)
will get a Chameleon 1.8 with 2.27 Cromwell bios
will install it..
if it doesn't work, I will install the ground wire
if it doesn't work, I will take a look 5 time at the D0 wire
if it doesn't work, I will be back here to border all of you again
