drill it right through and use a nut and bolt instead!

Hes right drill it or try and find a tap and dye kit to make a slightly larger hole that is threaded... i think nut and bolt is the best idea in this situation

guys ... thanks a lot .. that definatly sounds like the plan .

Now one more concerning issue about this ...    I was tryin to see if it would by holding it in place with my hand and turning the xbox on .    (i did this with the chip set to 'on' )  and when I got  a green lgiht... I heald it in place, turned it on and it still displayed that error screen saying  'your xbox is fucked.. you need repairs .. eror 16 .. ra ra ra'

was I retarted to try this?  and is there a reason it wasn't working even though I had a green light on the matrixchip ??

If u don't want to drill right thru your box.  Here's how i did mine.  Take off the motherboard and put a screw from thru the mb thru the bottom ... screw mb back and you can use a nut to screw down the matrix from the top ...

That would surly fix it, but for the cost of getting that, I am sure it would be easier just to buy another system.
