Why don't you just boot the onboard BIOS (TSOP) through EvolutionX? That's how I do it for Xbox Live play.

The a15 is only needed if you want to flash the tsop.  I have a 1.3 chameleon with the x2 4977 and have no problem.  What mode is your chameleon in and do you have the right sized bios installed, or are you trying to run a 512k bios in a 256k space.  If you totally remove the chip what happens.  Frag or does it boot?

i found this was actually due to using an IBM drive. replaced with a seagate and no problems.

Thanks for the suggestions.
