 id like to know how someone got this with their holes empty also.

Take a look at this thread. People are reporting that the Chameleons have started shipping with "pin sleeves" designed to help the pogo pins make contact with unfilled LPC holes. This might solve the problems for people buying new chips, but what about those who've already got one that won't install?

I recently did install on xbox with no solder in holes.  All I did was just put the pogo pins in the holes, flip over motherboars, soldered in each hole to fill it and contact the pogo's then ran a jumperwire to the L0 point on the motherboard.  Haven't had any problems.

Yeah, that's the solution I'm thinking about going with. I was trying to avoid soldering again because I killed my last Xbox with my "133t" soldering skills.

well thats good service, they adressed the problem and are now shipping all new chameleons with the rivets.

Fat lot of good that does for people who already bought one.

I'm going to email them and see if they'll sell them seperately.

Well if this is the case then anyone who purchased one prior to them shipping the "rivets" as they are calling them are entitled to a free set. Otherwise they fall under the false advertising laws as it was stated that it works on all Xboxes. Since they reprinted it from the manufacturers web site, that means they guarentee it is true!.....

if you email them with your order number i believe they send the rivets for free.

i jus received my chameleon, installed it in under 15 minutes, the only thing that went bad is that the screw they send out with the adapter isnt big enough, jus got a new one and it worked.
