Title: Xbox Rebooting After Matrix Bios Flash
Post by: Igneous on July 09, 2003, 07:11:00 PM
sad.gif  for me.

I flashed my bios to xecuter 4977 today and it was a bitch (using evox 3752).  My xbox began rebooting at the X logo screen at bootup.  It keeps doing that forever. and the dvd-drive keeps looking for a disc.  So I put a disc in the dvd-drive and then it reads it and it stops rebooting.  Now at first I thought it was a bad flash.  I then took out the chip use the matrix programmer to erase and re-flash it.  Then I put it back in the box, and same problem rebooting sad.gif.  So I took the chip out I flashed it with evox 2.5 bios (superfr0 evoxdash).   Still no help rebooting non-stop unless I put a disc in the xbox and boot.  (but the disc can be only EvoX disc though).  When I put in any games I get the error DIRTY DISC.  Now I've tried about 20 bioses so far, I've made evoxdash.xbe,  yboxdash.xbe, msxboxdash.xbe, xboxdash.xbe, and thus there is IF any bios needs any of those specific dashboards it'll find em name it will work. they're all the same dashboards (evox 3752 renamded) except for the msxboxdash and xboxdash (which are the regular m$dash).  I dont have any idea what to do now I've read the guides and such concerning the flashing lights etc but no luck sad.gif.  If I take the mod chip out It boots fine and I can play games (real ones ofcourse, not backups).  One of the LPC holes looks a bit funny (like its caving in sad.gif but i hope thats not the problem) beause the chip alligns and gets green light signal (which can be decieving i know).  The xbox is a 1.0 Xbox (i bought it when teh xbox was first released way back in November 2001).    Any thoughts or ideas that I can try would be appreciated.
