Title: Matrix In And Aligned! But Still Get Flubber?
Post by: gamemaster14 on June 24, 2003, 08:08:00 PM
Even with evox bios it shows the flubber. Only somthing like cromwell Linux bios wouldnt show the flubber. Test somthing on it like a burned cd-rw app or somthing.

EvoX.D.6.blue.bin should come up with a blue X after the flubber animation.  I always recommend using a colored noani (skips flubber) BIOS, so you know immediately if your chip is working or not.

The LEDs on the MatriX are not as useful or accurate as they should be.  Even though you're getting the green light, it doesn't seem like your chip's BIOS is loading.  I think your D0 point is not making contact.  Check that it's aligned, and you might need to scrape it a little bit to make better contact.

Going to give it another shot. Will clean the pogos and check the LPC as well as D0.

I am going to get this thing to work, if it is the last thing I do.

Ok, I used winLPC to flash the chip. So there may be a possibility that it isn't actually alligned? How often to do have a bad program of the Matrix chip. WinLPC seemed to have no problems at all.

That really sucks, it took ages ot get the green to come on.

I am experiencing the same problem.

Xbox v1.2
1. Falshed matrix with Evox.D.6.red
2. Filled holes with Solder
3. Aligned chip and get Green light for all modes
4. Xbox blinks Green and Red on startup

I am going to scratch the solder surface and see if that helps.

The MatriX isn't compatible with v1.2 Xboxes.  The D0 point is in a different location.  You can get it to work if you want to solder a wire from the D0 point to the D0 pin your MatriX.  Or just get another chip.
