hello all,
i have had a matrix chip installed now for a few months with no problems what-so-ever.
one day, the xbox will not boot up. tries to boot 3 times, then just flashes green/red.
removed matrix and put retail hd back in, boots fine. even boots with matrix installed in mode 1 (test/disable mode).
tried to flash matrix bios... winlpc says "error erasing chip". and wmilk says "LPC bus error-peripheral returned SYNC=0F.... error getting device ID at address FFC00000... device not supported". i am running win2000 server on a shuttle ss51g.
i think the matrix is fried because this worked before (a few times).
any thoughts? all help will be appreciated.
also, befoire my matrix died, i noticed that some new games will not load from hd (rayman3, wolfenstein etc). i can copy these to my hd just fine, but when i try to start them, the xbox just reboots. does the latest bios fix this? i found xecuter 4976.02 somewhere... is this the latest bios?
