Title: Matrix Mod-chip
Post by: nautiazn85 on June 01, 2003, 09:28:00 PM
QUOTE (Hoser @ Jun 2 2003, 05:07 AM)
installed matrix chip along with a 120 gigabyte maxtor harddrive, installed two games into harddrive, and worked great, rented enter the matrix at blockbuster and intalled in hardrive, when I tried to play game the screen went black and now my x-box turns on but, no picture on my t.v. and eject button flashes in red three time and shuts off.
anyone outthere know what the problem could be.  I would appreciate any advice.

thanks. A.P.

It could be MANY things.

First thing I would do is make sure the XBOX is okay. Remove the matrix chip and try to power on. If your XBOX is still in good condition then at least we know the mod chip is causing the problems.

That flashing red/green could mean a misalignment, residue causing a short, or a bad bios (did you accidently flash with a bad bios)?

Try all of the above, keep us posted.

So you used the quick solder method to install the chameleon, put two games in the HD, worked fine, put ETM, went all to crap, is this the problem?  It still seems like something is mis-alligned.  Maybe you guys moved it and something came undone.  Try to check all the LPC solder joints.

Just make sure the IGR is turned of on your evox dashboard and ETM will boot flawlessly.
