the light blinks a sec green in mode 1
this means the g spot is alligned

if the lpc are bad alligned the xbox beeps and resets...it doesnt do this so i assume the lpc are alligned good also
maybe this makes it more clear?

This is normal.  It looks identical.  Try to boot the Evox ISO you made.  If you make an ISO out of the latest release, it will boot the CD and you will see "matrix inside" at the bottom.  Then you know it works.

Use the X2 4974 BIOS, that way you will be SURE you are booting up the Mod BIOS because you will see the Xecutor2 logo.

Otherwise, use a colormod BIOS so the X logo comes up a different color than green (there is now a tool to change this on D.6 **and** the 4974 X2 BIOSes - I forget what it was called, but it is NOT SuperFro's aging utility)

To make sure my chip was OK, I used the D6 bios with the eject fix.  I simply started the game and pushed eject.  When my Xbox did not reset and froze instead, I knew my bios and chip were working.

I had the same problem as you. But first of all you should use a color bios so you know when the chip is working (the X when the xbox boot will be blue or red).
To get my matrix installed i used a piece of cotton with absolut vodka on it, and i rubbed it over the holes in on the xbox mobo (where the matrix is suppose to be installed)
rubb pretty hard over them so it gets clean (when you look at your cotton piece after it will be dirty) after that install matrix again check for the little green flash in mode 1, and then flip it to active mode. If it works the xbox logo will turn in another color then default green, if it doesnt work if it still boots 3 times and then the eject button flashes green/red then you need to clean the holes more. Do this over and over till you get it to work, it took me a few tries before it worked as it should.

Btw, i have a xbox european 1,1
