The Matrix can flash TSOPS, so you probably want to keep it. Not even the cheapmod, or X2 can do that.

i've got a cheapmod in my v1.1 xbox. for me, it does all that I need and, as you say, can be flashed with evox.

it doesn't have the different modes that the matrix has but i've fitted a switch on it and that's all i need. And with the pin header install that i did there are no problems with it coming out of alignment.

for me, i'd go cheapmod all the way if you don't mind soldering.

Get rid of your cheaplpc mod.

I'd keep the Matrix, particularly if you have a v1.0 system.

Installation is usually painless, it can be easily disabled and easily flashed.  Removing it is simple if you ever wish to replace it with another mod and you don't have to solder.

If you are comfortable soldering then the solder is not a big issue, but if you're not then this is a big plus.

Well I don't have the Xbox but a guy local does and he said he made his own LPC mod for it. I seen it in action and does work good and seen him put it in. See the cheap mod is already in it and I am debateing on weither I should clip the ground/d0 wires and removing the mod from the LPC and putting the Matrix in? If a chip was already on there would you remove it just to use the Matrix?

I could possibley see myself flashing a few friends Xbox's TSOPS with it for a small fee(but tell them how it works though so they don't expect a chip or something). But won't be anytime real soon. Might not ever do it though.

I say if it's in there and working then leave it, or - if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

If you do remove it make sure you clean up the pads well or the matrix might not make a good connection.

so would it be safe to leave the d0 point and ground on the bottom of my mobo if I put the Matrix on? I have no intensions of playing it on Live so that isnt no big deal. Please only reply if you know for sure it will not short anything(mainly the $50 matrix).

Removing the mod would be cake its the removing the d0 point that concerns me. I guess I could clip the wire but I would rather not have to take the mobo out.
