I would stick with reflashing and realigining, you don't need to solder anything.

Okay, I plan on buying a 1.1 tomorrow or soon and installing a matrix? is there any way I can look at the box where the open hole is and you can see the model number and serial number and all and tell if it's the one that's easier or harder to install the 1.1 in, I heard some 1.1's are harder than others..  Thanks...

Technically you are correct and this is how the matrix should work.
But in practice I tell you right now if you don't want the box to play up and give you the fire up, shutdown, fire up dramas. Which alot of people have had including me...down the track.
All you need to do is just fill the holes so they are flat.. GET IT???
to give the matrix a better contact area. Because once those pogo pins are in the lpc holes you cannot move the chip and try to realign it with out doing some damage...YOU have a look at what I have said and how can you realign something which is locked into so many holes ????????????
POGO PINS were not designed for sitting in a hole but for sitting on a flat surface with load on them that's why they are spring loaded...
BUT once again do as you will people.....and maybe you will see the error of your ways beerchug.gif

I've istalled a matrix modchip in an xbox ver 1.1 with bios evox D.6 eject fix but it doesn't work. When i try to boot it reboot two times making a beep and when (at the third times it boots) the xbox light flashes orange/green.Someone can help me?

Merry xmas

this is an alignment problem with the lpc contacts. This is what the xbox does when the onboard bios is disabled (d0 is contacting) but the pins on the lpc are not touching properly.
