seems like  you got the wrong bios in there.. search the forums and look  at the tutorials to find out what ver xbox you got ( 1.0 or1.1) then download the correct bios. don't use one source on the ver info.

Orange usually means the video cable is not connected all the way!!

don't be fooled by a green LED in mode 2.   it does that even if the chip isn't aligned properly.  I had the same problem you're describing show up a few times and it always happened when the chip wasn't aligned properly.   Try realigning till it works.  Make sure to put pressure on the pogopins when alligning.
