) and I got a question. If I wanna play XBLive and I disable my chip, what would happen to my "aftermarket", upgraded hard drive? Do I need to flash my TSOP? If so, can I get a quick explanation of what it does and if it can be recovered/hidden somehow (if MS pulls a few dirty tricks
)?
Thanks!!

no i believe TSOP flashing is so that your xbox, with the standard MS XBOX bios in it, will recognize an "aftermarket" hdd so im hoping i wont have to flash it or have to lock it everytime i wanna use XBLive

If the matrix operates like the OpenBox where you can boot with the OEM Bios, you will need to lock the new hard drive for it to be recognized with the original BIOS. You will also lose the additional space on F:.

ouch!! will I LOOSE my F drive space or just not have it available?

Can the HDD be locked when still in the XBOX? Is it complicated, because then one would have to switch of mod chip/lock harddrive to be able to play XBL, then after playing XBL, the chip has to be turned on and the harddrive unlocked. Is this possible?
