Do i have to do anything to do the chip before I flash it?

Try using different media,Memorex cdrw works for me

you mean the ftp settings i assume...you have all the settings set correctly?

as far as i can tell without seeing it, yes. as long as both have different ip address's but are in the same subnet, like 192.168.0.1 and 192.168.0.2 and the same subnet mask and gateway everything should work. its hard for me to tell without looking at it.....
