Matrix Install Manual

Yes you should remove HD and DVD drive. You do not need these connected when testing to see if you get a green light on the Matrix chip.

so i just keep moving the chip until the led flashes gree and then hook everything back in and my chip is installed.

jesus, read the manual he gave you the link to.  this is bullshit all these questions that are easily available.
