Though for most people the spring mod is a godsend.
I'll stick with the LPC mods and headers myself. I've got it down to be almost trivial.

i looked at mine today and it doesnt budge!
I wouldnt worry about it moving and i should think the designers
took care of this..
about the disable bios... the chip was announced but the extra features were not
we shall wait an see what they have up their sleeve

I have already ordered my OpenXbox, so this reply may sound biased ... but believe me I would have said the same thing even if I didn't get the OpenXbox yet.
What we have heard and seen so far about Xodus sounds promising, but I still think OpenXbox is a superior solution. I have already explained my reasoning in this thread, so I won't go over them in detail, but here are my main reasons for preferring the OpenXbox:
1. Because I am fairly good at soldering and love it
2. Because the Xodus relies on spring loaded contacts to make the connections, it will not be as reliable as any soldered modchip
3. Xodus allows BIOS flashing and so does OpenXbox. However, from all we have seen so far, you'll need to open the Xbox each time you want to flash the Xodus BIOS (unless you always keep it enabled for DVD-R flashing ... which doesn't sound like a good idea)
4. OpenXbox has been out there for about a month now and is proven to "do the job right". Xodus, on the other had is the new kid on the block and no one knows for sure exactly how good or bad it is.

I completely agree with you, but since no one has installed it and tried we can't say that just cause its non-solder, that it will not be a good mod or that it will not be at rustworthy mod. The mod might turn out to be a really good modchip.
