I ordered three Matrix because I feel confident enough about it... you can do the same or wait for some customers feedback

Now, there is the same issue that occured while x-ecuter was hot : Do I buy a x-ecuter now or wait for a supposed non-solder chip... I choosed to wait and my time has come to buy... You just have to go with what you feel comfortable with...

you can wait forever just in case there is something better than what you buy that could go out or jump aboard and buy what you think is the best bet...

the new mod chip sounds promising . if you have patients waiting for it to come out the for them to deliver then it go for it. if you want something now get the Pc-Bioxx from lik-sang.

They still haven't gotten one to you yet Limb? Damn morons ought to wake up and learn to send out pre-buy samples to people on board forums like these so they can get a good review out....as long as the stuff works as it says!

The BIG problem at the moment is (well as least here in Australia) Xodus appears to be dead in the water as all new Xboxes coming out have different mobos.

Of course there's a big demand at the moment for people with the old boxes, but I can see a massive price war between the people who bought a lot of X-ecuters at large quantity prices, and the people who've pre-ordered large numbers of Xodii.

As the supply of modifiable Xboxes dries up, and the amount of Modchips increases, it should drive the price through the floor for the chips.

I'm a bit surprised that no one KNEW the board designs were coming from M$, Xodus could have really taken control of the Aussie market.

Well, now the Xodus webpage has the install video to download.  Says it took them 15 seconds to install.

Well, watched the video and it sure looks simply.  Has a flashing light on it.  If its red, just move it till it turns green and its aligned right.

what's the deal with this, how does the light get power?  Does the mod have a battery, or do you have to install it when the xbox is on!

You probably install it with the power on.  As long as no one decides to lick some components on the power supply (just to see how they taste), I don't think anyone will be risking their hide trying this install  laugh.gif

However, no matter what you're doing to a piece of electronic gear, I'm against working on it while it is hot without caution.

Those lik-sang videos are misleading in my opinion.

I guess u can install it while it's powered off too .. and just power on to check the color of the led.

That's probably the safest course of action - for the installer and the xbox.

If you notice in the video....she partially screws it on...then you dont see her hand (I assume she's using it to power it on) then the LED light goes on. Xantium's assumption seems correct. Who in the right mind would mess with a hot citcuit board anyway? That's just asking for trouble.
