Title: New Xbox-no Hd Can I Chip It And Use Any Hd?

I have a new xbox.  Stock HD failed.  Can I use this xbox if I chip it?

IF so can someone link me to a guide?

Once you install the mod chip, you can use an 3.5" IDE hard drive.  Use the powers of google my friend rather than asking us to supply you with Guides.  For the HD, just set it to cable select, and prepare it using an Auto-installer CD like Slayer's or AID.
  If you are looking for a cheap chip go with a DuoX2 as they are very reliable and do everything you need, and cost very little.

Thanks! I have access to a  pretty new xbox without a dvd or HD.

Can you suggest a good place to buy one? (chip)

Depends where you live, but on the forums they have a reseller rating section.  I live in Canada and buy all my mod chips from Divineo.com as they have cheap shipping to Canada and are very fast.
