Title: Usb Adapter Wire Colours!
Post by: kevsthabest on July 28, 2003, 03:39:00 AM
the red/pink is prolly the green/white,  cuz on splicing my controller wire, those were the two interwine.. .. thats as much as i can really help you with, .. and make sure no wire are touching each other, i had problems with mine cuz of that, it would detect the controller, but wouldnt install, so i respliced the wires farther away from eachother and nw it works like a charm:)

Ok, im still getting that detection popup problem, using the intertwined pair of wires as corresponding to green/white.

Does anyone have any suggestions for what wires each might be after having cut apart a legitimate coloured controller?

I don't want to pay $60 AUS for a controller, and the Joytech extension is the only extension cord i can find in all the places ive looked.

Any suggestions appreciated.

I found another post on Xbox-scene that got me in the right direction! Well kind of solved it. tongue.gif

Joytech Colour   -   USB Colour
Red/White(or Pink)  - Black
Black  - White
Red - Red
Purple - Green

note that you might have to alternate the Green/White wires to:
Black - Green
Purple - White
depending on your individual usb cable

Got it all working great, just want to figure out how to get the XBOX Memory card to be read through the XCtrl drivers, doesnt seem to like the action replay drivers at the moment.
