I know that you can use vga with a softmodded xbox but you have to run an app after you turn it on to get it to run in vga well something like that, maybe try searching xbins? With a chip you can just flash frostys 5035 vga bios. Use a frozen cable http://www.divineo.c...ozen-cable.html

Instructions for building a VGA cable.
You can enable VGA from your softmod if you used a recent softmod. Which softmod did you use?
Alternatively you can use Frosty and xman954's dual boot VGA softmod, or you can use PBL to load a VGA BIOS after your softmod has booted.

Yes, that's a problem - the 1.6 Xbox doesn't support VGA at all.
Your only option is an external component to VGA converter.

I would go for a version 1.0/1.1. This way, you can do a VGA/Non-VGA TSOP split.
