Title: Internal Vga Mod Gone Screwy
Post by: Agent21KGB on July 19, 2009, 01:29:00 AM
ok it is only the horzontal sync that is messed up. As in the screen is like 2" too far left and repeating on the right.

I am waiting for the parts to do that mod so I have no experience with it.

But guessing I would say testing the connects on anything to do with the horizontal line would be a good place to start. I would use a multimeter to test continuity from pin 35 on the video encoder chip to your trigger pin 11 and see if it was good. Then test pin 8 on the trigger to whatever vga plug your using which should be pin 13 or 14 on a 15 pin vga adapter.

By the way with frosty run mode 2+3
with ind run mode 1+3
cromwell run mode 1+3

Cromwell will run in mode 2+3 but the colors will be jacked like there is to much blue or green I cant remember exactly.

frosty will also run in mode 1+2+3 but I think that is an rgb scart signal.

Try ind vga in mode 1+3 and see if it still happens.
