Title: Wavey Lines On Screen.
Post by: Trebz on June 07, 2009, 01:38:00 PM
So.........

I just plugged the Slimbox in upstairs in the bedroom. The bedroom TV does not have the posh 720p cable.

It works fine !!!

So, there's a problem with the Slimbox motherboard, it has a problem running in 720p all of a sudden, it's been working fine for months.....

Hhmm...

Your interference theory might hold some water. Since it's a slimbox, I assume you took out the metal shielding and your normal one has it in still. That helps block out some interference. By moving it upstairs and away from whatever is interfering, you get rid of the lines.

If you still have the metal shielding, cut it down by 1.7cm and refit in your Xbox which I believe should stop outside interference and fix your problem. smile.gif

Hello

I already had the shielding cut down by 17mm but i hadn't fitted back into the Slombox fter my last session of tinkering.

I just re fitted the tin work and it's the same, i still have wavey lines on the screen. If i plug in my other Xbox it works fine, it has to be something wrong with the Slimbox motherboard.......

I checked it all over when i took it apart to re fit the tin work and it looks ok......
