Title: Screen Shifts To The Left Running Apps In 720p
Post by: underworlderZer0 on February 18, 2008, 08:02:00 AM
I just got a Vdgi Xbox VGA converter to hook up my XBOX to a VGA monitor at work and run it in high definition/ high res. For the most part it's been great (although I've discovered I can't run in 1080i). I am using an EvoX BIOS and dash.

Games run perfect in 720p, and videos and DVDs play just fine through XBOX Media Center. However, when running apps such as emulators or the XMC gui, the entire screen image is shifted left about 1 1/2 inches (on a 20 inch wide monitor). The right-most inch and a half is a black stripe, and the left-most side is clipped by that same amount. The horizontal stretch is maxed through the menu accessed by pressing the button on the front of the monitor, and this particular monitor does not have an option to slide the screen image like some do. This only happens in 720 mode- standard 420 is fine. Trying to calibrate the video settings doesn't work, the right side acts as if the edge of the monitor is 1 1/2 inches in.

Strangely, this wasn't an issue when I tested it on my home computer monitor. Any ideas? Could it be an evoX issue?
