yes....or you could just buy a Component A/V cable, probably a lot cheaper then making one yourself

Naw, I rather hand make it. I rather work hard for it, Im a Modified King, so that means I modify, not buy.

i did exactly that, used a rca cable as a component cable. all you have to do is open up the avip plug on the cable and resolder the wires to the component pins as shown in the pic you posted before. and if you want sound you should also include an audio jack of some sort on an extra cable.
some people would say that the quality of the cable would be crap. and they are probably right but it is better than composite.

the sound and audio pins are different to the component pins on the avip connector. i made the cable permanently component. and yeah you have to change the mode wires as well

Hi,
you can find the advanced HD Pack on Ebay. It costs something like 12 euro. It has a optical output for the digital sound and 5 gold plated cinch connector's for the audio and video signals. It even contains a small switch to select svideo or rgb.
