hey i'm here asking for help...once again. i noticed recently that my xbox doesnt have left audio...it has right, center, rear left, rear right, but not front left. this is when its hooked up to my surround sound system, but when i just use the normal av cord straight into my tv, same thing. no left audio. i've tried using my hd video pack, my normal av pack, 3 different tvs, 2 different surround sound systems..what could cause this? i've cleaned my av port, and no cords are loose. i'm so confused:P its not a real emergency or anything, it just kind of bothers me. if i were to install a stereo(white) female adapter right into my xbox and plug a white cable there, do you think that would work? or is it an audio encoder on my mobo? thanks

If you can currently make use of DD and DTS but without the left channel, play games in DD without the left channel and have the same effect when hooked up using the AV cable that comes stock, I would suggest one thing..... Corrupted firmware, damaged hardware. I am not sure whether it is possible for a modchip to cause this issue.

i would of said one of the wires could of broke inside the insulation jacket near the connector but u said you used 2 diff cables, its possible they could of both broke but shit. maybe a bent pin inside the av connector. check the pins with a bright flashlight and make sure they look good in order. i kno theirs a sticky on here that tells u the av pinout or you can go to http://gamesx.com, they have the xbox pinout there, and check the audio pins. i couldnt think of anything else. u said you tried it on 3 diff tvs so thats not the problem. all i could think of is theirs a bent pin. or is your av port loose? it could of gotten loose from unplugging the av cable and a pin could of broke between the plastic housing to the mainboard.
