I used frosties bios, and it worked like a charm.
I have two bioses on my system one hd and one non.
Normally I run using hd cables (RGB and audio) to a Component to vga adapter. (easy to find at any sattalite tv place)
If I go to a friends place, I just pack my normal cables and flash to a nonhd version of the bios.
Couple quick tips.
If you ever end up running a non hd bios, (or are running one and your hdoutput is not enabled) and only have hd cables running, you can plug in the GREEN output into the video in component jack on your tv or vcr. that will get you a black and white screen that will still let you enter the ms dashboard and turn HD on.
Aside from that, frostys bios is amazing, it flashed fast, and running at 720p on my lcd monitor looks amazing. If I use it at work on a non wide screen one, 480 looks best (ratio and all that, I like my cd covers perfectly square)
If you can do the bios and vga patch, its definitly worth it. and its very very simple.
Frosty also has a Bootable one, that does not need you to patch anything. You just run it like a program. Its good to test and see how it all works. If you really dont want to patch, you can just run this when you boot, and have it all working
and yes, its full wide screen
Check frostys link for the info. and you can find the files you need in the usual places
thanks, thats good to know.
could I just use my 2nd bank on my modchip to put frosties bios on and just switch to that bank when I want to use my PC monitor?? doesn't that seem logical?

Yes, I definitely recommend using a dual-bank modchip when you are using a BIOS patched with my VGA patcher.
It's much easier in the long-run.
@hymieali: I'm glad you enjoy my work, native VGA on the XBOX is a beautiful thing, isn't it?
