Title: Headset Jacks?

anyone know of a way to mod a headphone jack into the xbox controller so as to get rid completely of the cartridge?

if theres a tut out there, can someone point em to it?

The controller itself doesn't have the electronics necessary to support the mic, so you'd have to take the stuff out of the "cartridge" and pack it into the controller itself. It's not going to be easy... there are some 3rd party controllers with the electronics built in, if you're interested. I have one from HipGear (now defunct) that works pretty well.

if i can mod the parts straight in i'd rather try that first since i have thm on hand, and if that doesnt work out then i'll move to the option of buying a controller stock with it...

does anyone kno how/a tut for that kind of mod?
