Title: Xbox (classic) And 720p
Post by: palmmann on February 28, 2007, 08:08:00 PM
little old xbox is more powerful than you think tongue.gif

first you will need to change it to ntsc, you are correct. pal doesn't have hd options available. this will work for all games that support it, for others it will automatically downscale to the highest resolution supported. for red dead revolver this is 480p, for ssx 3, on tour, and tricky it is also 480p. but xbmc can support 720p however, just go into settings (in xbmc) and change it.

component cables are DEFINITELY worth it. games an movies look much better in progressive. just make sure to get a good set, i would suggest the official ones and not some crappy offbrand ones.

Thanks for the info, that really sounds good. One more thing: will XBMC do upscaling for any or all media? UI mainly use XBMC for watching DVDs and XVID video; will those be upscaled?
