Seems like you might have a Video Encoder IC or RAM IC problem.
Might pay you to check ALL the pins on the Encoder IC and all four RAM IC's for shorts from some form of conductive contamination. You need to get a magnifying glass and check between each pin, making sure nothing has lodged between them. I realise you may never have used the soldering iron on top of the motherboard (where the video encoder IC is located), but this could be factory or accidental contamination.
Other than the above, you may find that one of the IC's I've mentioned may be damaged internaly.
Please let us know how you get on.

QUOTE
By the way DarkMatter, The box boots normal with the chip off the pin header & the LPC undone. Don’t know if that helps at all.

WHOA!!! If that's the case, then ignore what I've already suggested. That won't be it.
If your getting normal operation with the mod and LPC removed, then your going to have to look hard at the Aladdin modchip and/or your LPC rebuild method.
I have to admit that I've never come across a fault like your's due to a mod install. But if it works normally with everything removed, then you must be doing something wrong, or the Aladdin itself is faulty.
Here's how you should proceed next:
(1) Try doing the LPC rebuild again, but what ever you do, take your time with it.
Once you've completed it, DON'T ground the D0. Leave it for now. DON'T install the Aladdin yet either.
Re-assemble the mobo back into the case, install the drives and power it up. If it works , then good, go to the next step. If it fails, then you know you've done something wrong with the rebuild or LPC pin header.
(2) Remove the ROM drive and install the Aladdin onto the pin header. Still leave the D0 out for the time being. If it works, then continue with the next step. If it fails, then the Aladdin is at fault and would need to be replaced.
(3) Now you can attach the D0 to ground. If it fails, then you know its due to the Aladdin being faulty and as stated in step (2), it will need to be replaced.
Please let us know how you get on.

Thread closed. Don't cross post.
The issue you are having is a chip install issue (most likely a short on the LPC or a solder splash elsewhere caused during install), so stick to your original thread
