Have you tried setting your XBOX to PAL mode with something like the Enigmah Videomode Switchdisc program?

If the game works with component cables and your XBOX set to PAL then maybe you're stuck swiching it every time you want to play Sensible Soccer =(

Aren't there a few games that won't play in 480p, maybe this is one of them.
