Title: Lost Video Output After Power Surge-
Post by: boxr0xor on August 15, 2005, 11:34:00 AM
ALmost all my electronics got taken out last week after a pretty bad power surge.  I just got one of my TVs back from the repair shop so I tested my Xbox to assess the damage.  It started up just fine, I heard the drive spin up and I could hear the M$ boot sounds...but NO VIDEO!!  Once booted up, I could navigate through the menus of Unleash X with my controller-I could hear the menu sounds through the TV.

I tried using a standard composite video cable rather than my HD Pack just to see if it would work but I got the same results. I also tried another TV.   No video at all.  No flicker, no lines, just a black screen.  I havent cracked it open to look for any burn marks or bulged caps or anything just yet.  I wanted to see if anybody here has any idea what I might be looking at here as far as repair goes.
