Title: Component Video Cable Question

You'd have to see if your TV supports HD resolutions.  My TV here is the US doesn't support 480p.  If you haven't modded your xbox, you wont output anything but 480i since you have a pal xbox.

The component will look slightly better than s-video and in my opinion a lot better than composite.  I recently bought a component cable for $10 USD and i think its well worth it.

If your TV supports 480p (not common on cheap sets) then yes, by all means get component. But if not, stick with RGB SCART.

If you want HD and your tv supports it, you must set your XBOX to NTSC to enable HD modes.  Even if you dont have an HD set, component cables look much better than composite cables.

Look at your TV manufacturer's website, it should mention if it supports HD, my guess is if you dont know it probably doesn't.  They're generally pretty expensive.
