yes it does help you!!! It can display games at a higher res (480p) halo2, and is much clearer and crisp. Big improvement, for games and movies.
oh yea, i forgot to reccommend the HDAV pack, dont get the av pack, it doesnt do anything to the picture only the sound. The hd av pack will improve the picture and the sound.
I played for 10 months with my projector hooked up through svideo..thinking that was as good as it gets... When I finally figured out I could hook it up through component video my life changed!! It is worth it...get it now!!!
^ 480p looks better than 480i. And some could argue it is double the resolution. Instead of getting "the odd lines" of the image, then the "even ones", you get them all at once.
I've been using my xbox hooked on my TV through the SVideo connection of some unofficial pack that has video, svideo, component YUV, stereo, coax and optical out.
It's working great.
However I've tried it on my new HD projector (Samsung Z2) and I'm having problems.
The yuv component connexion (which is supposed to be the best) only shows black and white.
The video and svideo have the colour but the top and bottom of the picture sort of flash regularly (like losing the colour on these areas mainly the blue one I think)...
Any idea what's going on?
I have another svideo only kit for xbox and it does it also (although it looks like it flashes less than the other kit)...
Should I invest in the official kit?
Also I'd like to set my xbox to 720p or any HD res available in the MS dash but I couldnt find how to do it...I only have the normal PAL 4/3 16/9 option...

Yes.
You should only get the HD pack if your projector supports high definition, if it doesn't then you'll just be looking at the game in 480i, which sucks.
