Title: Playback Of Ea Games Video Files On Pc (*.vp6)
Post by: smiley2billion on January 04, 2005, 11:51:00 AM
After doing some research of what kind of file is used for video compression on EA Sports March Madness 2005 I found that they went with on2's VP6 format.  To get playback on a PC I thought it would be as simple as installing the vp6 codec, however, this does not work, at least, on my PC.

Does anyone know anything more specific as to how to get playback of these files on a PC with Winamp or otherwise?

For Reference:

Example of file:
(March Madness 2k5) \movies\cameo\

For codec info:

http://filext.com/de...p?extdetail=VP6

http://www.on2.com/vp6.php3

to download codec:

(the above links to a real site, not sure for the warning... (free-codecs.com))

Any help in getting this to play, or being able to use those files in Virtualdub would be great, thanks!
