I have the XIR remote kit, this is the only thing I can think of that might be causing it. However, it doesn't only happen when trying to power on with the remote, it also happens with the buttons on he console.
Sometime I will press power on my Xbox and the green light comes on but the Xbox doesn't actually start. If I use the eject button to power on and this happens, the tray doesn't ever eject. There is no audio or video being sent out at all.
I have never had this happen twice in a row. If I power down and then try again, it has always worked.
I am trying to figure out what's causing this. It's not a huge problem, but I am worried the Xbox will eventually not power on at all. So if anyone know what might be causing it or a potential fix, I would really appreciate it.
