Video capture cards work perfectly fine, and you get the added benefit of capturing movies. And you get to use it with other devices as well.

VGA adapters are WAY WAY clearer, but you don't get to capture movies or use it with other devices.

For VGA, get an X2VGA, and settle for nothing else.

For capture cards, anything should work. Big names are Hauppauge WinTV and AverMedia AverTV (or something like that)
