Hello All,
I am trying to use my ATI AIW 9800 to record video off my Xbox. I am using the composite choice in TV view and I can get great video of games, videos, etc. But I can never get any sound off the composite? Any ideas? Is the correct forum?

yeah i have the same card, you need to connect the cable with the AUdio output, video output and some other output (not sure of what it is). and connect the special end in the back of the card, and the audio connector into your sound card input.
PM if you have any questions!

there is a black adapter with s-video and composite out and on it is a standered stereo headphos jack cable. plug the black cable on the other side of the tv coaxial in then take the stereo cable and plug it into you audio in on either your sound card or your mobo. then check to see if the audio in is muted on the sound control in windows. that will give you sound in the tv window. so on the back of your computer you have a purple cable between the coaxial and the dvi and a balck adapter hooked up between the coaxial and the side of your case. then all the xbox plugs in the purple hub and the black stereo in the audio in. took me a while to figure this out till i looked at that setup card that came with the card
(You can also use the red adapter if you lost the black one as long as the stereo cable is pluged in you are ok)

yeah that's what i meant, sorry for my bad explanation, but it should work if you do that. you can still PM if you have questions!

Why would you think
there would be left and right channels? Anyway gamersha I will have to look
at the s-video composite box when I have the chance.
