Title: Connectors
Post by: {{DEMON}} on January 22, 2004, 01:29:00 AM
I am one of several looking to do a PC case mod for my xbox.  Here is an issue i had and figured this fourm is where the question should be posted.

I am looking for a place that sells the following parts.

BOTH MALE AND FEMALE (cable and motherboard)

THE end connector for the DVD yellow wire harnes and the adapter it plugs into on the DVD and MB.

THE connector and the Adapter the COntroller ports plug into.

and the MALE FEMALE Adapter for the Powerup board. (9 yellow wires)

IF you have no clue what im looking for and why after reading this far let me explain.

When you put a PC Xbox together you have to extend the wires. I dont want to cut up the originals I want to extend them for the PC case.  THe best way is to make WIRE ADAPTERS that will plug into the exisiting cable and the Motherboard.  That way,m in the future you can unplug and put your original xbox back together.

The Mission i am asking someone to do, is Identify each MALE AND FEMALE part of a wire and its motherboard connection HOME.  Replay to the fourm.  GIve the name of the part and the model number and where one can buy it (the Site of the retailer selling the clips).

This will be a huge revolution for those making PC xbox's

I hope some will pickup my mission and complete it.

Even the clip that the yellow harness plugs into on the DVD rom will help.. so those modding a samsung 616T drive can mod it to use the yellow harness only wothout splicing off the HDD power cord.

so im looking for

CONTROLLER PORTS white plug and the socket it plugs into.
DVD YELLOW CALBE both ends (socket) and the DVD and MB socket it plugs into
Power UP board yellow wire harness SOCKET PLUG and MB socket it plugs into.

Hope someone can help out..

Thanks in advance.
