And maybe then add an external switch to the AVIP connector on the motherboard, which switches between my two needed modes. Which pins should be be connected to the switch then? *Simple solution, is there a av-pack with both component, digital audio (optical or electrical) and regular video, preferably s-video, but composite video will do?

* You cannot enable both modes at once, since the xbox checks which pins are grounded, and enables only 1 mode.

* Yes, you can use DIP switches - ill do some thinkin about the pin #'s ... its been awhile since i had them all memorized.

* Nope, sorry to say there is no universal pack.

The Conexant video decoder in your box can only output one format at a time regardless of where the pins are. This is because most of the video pinout points are common.

For example

Pin 22 outputs the Luma signal in both SDTV and HDTV modes, and the GREEN component signal in RGB SCART mode.

Pin 19 outputs the Chroma signal in SDTV mode, and the Pr component signal in HDTV mode, and the RED component signal in RGB SCART mode.

The box has no video buffers thaat allow split level duplication to multiple output simultaneously.

OK, just what I thought. So that means I somehow have to find the wire in my componentcable that switches the videomode and cut it right? And then what pins should I then connect a switch to?
