Title: No Video At Start Up, No Orange Though!

My box has been acting up when I boot up. Sometimes I get NO video and a constant green light but it sits there and no startup animation or anything (never flashes green and orange).  I travel back and forth a lot and wrap up the A/V cables a lot and stick them in my X-Pack.  Can that affect the performance of the cables?  I'm thinking it is.
