I have a Toshiba 36" HDTV (36HFX71) connected to my Xbox using the Xbox Advanced A/V Pack.  My xbox's TSOP has been flashed and is using the X2 4977 bios.

When I boot the the MS Dash board and load the video settings, the audio starts to skip and the video seems to be delayed, but it corrects itself and seems to work fine.  I can change the settings here, I run it with all of them enabled all the time.  Now, when I load True Crime there is no video but the audio is there.  The game appears to be running but with no video signal.  Can anyone explain why this is happening or perhaps a solution to my problem?

Not sure about the skipping issues, but my guess would be that the reason you're getting a black screen on True Crime is that you have probably enabled 720p in the dashboard.  The 36HFX71 is a great TV, but if it's like my Toshiba (65H80) it doesn't do 720p.  True Crime will go to 720p if it's enabled, because that's the best HD mode it will do.  Result is a black screen, since the TV will not accept this sync rate.

Your only option if this is true is to disable 720p in the dashboard and suffer with 480p.  Very few games right now will do 1080i, which is the mode us Toshiba owners really want.

For a start to get HD you need the Xbox HD A/V Pack, not the Xbox Advanced A/V Pack.
