Title: Audio Question
Post by: luke.luke1 on October 29, 2003, 09:00:00 AM
I beleive music uploaded via the xbox dash is on the Xbox E partition of the HDD, located in:
E:/ TDATA / fffe0000
Double check the amount of file names within each folder to ensure they correspond with the amount of music tracks on each soundtrack and this should confirm you are looking at the right folder.
I think the file names end with .wav which should also help locate them.
I don't know if you can ftp tracks to this folder though as I think (but could be wrong) that there is a file which tells the xbox what soundtracks are on the HDD and I wouldn't know how to locate or update this to show the new tracks added.
Anybody else know this?

Um.. no.. its in .wma format, but it has to be a specific wma type
Skunk, the program you are looking for is Soundtrack editor found on this page.
Beware however, make sure you make a backup of your files before even attempting to use it.. the first time i used it, it kindly deleted all my soundtracks without my permission...
But thats pretty much te only way to do things without creating a cd-r/rw

Ok... I was close enought! Not bad for my first shot at some advise if I do say so myself!
While we are on the subject of soundtracks and music does anybody know if it is possible for the xbox dash music player to be configured to read/write music to/from the F: Partition of the HDD as well as the E: Partition??
My E: Partition is already full!
Thanks.

There is a program for this.
It sends windows media audio files that you chose into the right folder of the xbox from your computer.
You can create soundtracks and rename them etc....
I dont remeber the name of the program but Im sure if you search youl find it.
